School of Hospitality and Tourism
1. Introduction
The Social Work Team of School of Hospitality and Tourism was found under Decision 03/QĐ-ĐTN dated April 9, 2009 by the Executive Board of Hue University Youth Union. The Team consists of Faculty students who are enthusiastic about social work and looking to improve their social and union skills as well as enriching their social experience.
2. Organizational structure
A Lecturer is in charge of the Team, supported by a Team Leader and 2 Deputy Team Leader. 50 team members who are coming from Youth Union Groups within School of Hospitality and Tourism, are divided into 5 groups, each led by a group Leader.
3. Operational plan
The Social Work Team organises meet-ups every Sunday to help student members to improve their youth union skills through a wide range of creative activities. Actively engaging in voluntary work such as: Helping the lonely Elderly, volunteering at Dieu Vien Pagoda, as well as excursions including “World Children’s Day celebration”, “Mid-autumn Festival for Children” etc. has helped boosting team work skills of the student members.
To encourage better group performance, the Social Work Team is planning to reorganise the members, reallocate groups based on activity themes. More voluntary events and activities will also be initiated to create a positive environment that allows students to contribute to their community.
